This policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on www.tablafocus.com.
Consent and essential cookies
We use essential cookies required for core website functionality and security. We also store analytics consent preference in the cookie tf_analytics_consent (up to one year).
When you vote or suggest an idea on the roadmap, we set a signed anonymous browser cookie, tf_roadmap_visitor, for up to one year. It lets us remember that browser's votes and limit abuse without requiring an account. When you submit a composition, phrase, or directory entry on the support page, we set a similar signed cookie, tf_submitter_identity, for up to 90 days, so related submissions from the same browser can be reviewed together. Both are essential cookies: they do not depend on your analytics consent choice and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Automated-abuse prevention
Form submissions that publish or reach us directly — roadmap idea requests, support and feedback messages, and community contributions — use Cloudflare Turnstile to detect automated abuse. Turnstile may use cookies or similar technical signals as needed to complete the security check, and its script loads only on the pages that carry those forms. Roadmap voting and the waitlist form do not use Turnstile.
We derive pseudonymous HMAC identifiers from browser and network information to enforce voting and request limits without storing the raw identifiers in the rate-limit records. Those records expire after 48 hours.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4to understand aggregate usage patterns such as page visits, waitlist and TestFlight-interest clicks, and high-level engagement, with IP anonymisation enabled. It is loaded only after you grant consent in the banner — before that, the site makes no connection to Google's analytics servers. When consent is granted, Google Analytics sets its standard cookies (_ga and a _ga_* container cookie, each lasting up to two years). We do not sell personal data.
