Tabla Focus is a tabla practice companion for iPhone and iPad, built to hold a lifetime of riyaz. The everyday tools are here, elevated — a lehra in raag and taal, the Taal Metronome, a tanpura, the Tabla Tuner, and Tabla Math for the arithmetic behind a tihai or chakradhar — but a lehra was never the hard part. The hard part is everything around it.
So your repertoire lives here in bol notation, typed on a keyboard made for it, each piece moving from Study Reserve to Active Study to Performance Ready. Scan Notes turns handwritten pages into one searchable archive, recordings are trimmed and shaped without touching the original, and Analytics keeps an honest record of your riyaz — returned each month as a Lifetime Progress Report. The Mock Exam sets a 30-question paper against the grade syllabus, Prarambhik through Visharad; Parampara keeps the lineage close. Compositions travel between players as encrypted .tabla files, Siri runs a riyaz hands-free, and the Tabla Tuner reads your dayan's pitch live on device — never recording a sound.
