Use of service
Tabla Focus is a personal-use educational service: a tabla practice app, curated learning and reference content, and product information. It is built for individual practice and study, not as a publishing or distribution platform. You may use the service only in compliance with applicable laws, and you must be old enough to sign in with your own Apple ID under Apple's terms.
Your content: compositions, Scanned Notes, and recordings
Compositions hold your personal compositions and phrases. Scanned Notes is for personal notebook scans and related metadata. Practice recordings are audio takes you record of your own playing. None of these is a public gallery, publishing platform, social feed, or community upload system.
You own the content you create, and you are responsible for it. You warrant that you have the right to capture and keep what you scan, write, or record — including any material by others that appears in it, such as a teacher's composition in a scanned page or accompaniment audible in a recording. Do not use any Tabla Focus feature to store, create, or distribute content that is illegal, abusive, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use.
Compositions, Scanned Notes content, and practice recordings use private CloudKit storage on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your own iCloud account. Tabla Focus does not store that content in Supabase or publish it to other users, and needs no licence to it beyond what is required to store, sync, export, and delete it for you.
No certification
Practice statistics, Mock Exam results, and any eligibility or readiness indicators describe coverage of study material only. Tabla Focus does not certify, grade, or qualify anyone; it confers no title, rank, or credential; and its indicators have no standing with any school, examination board, or institution. Decisions about examinations, performances, or teaching remain yours and your teacher's.
Your account
You sign in to Tabla Focus with Sign in with Apple; there is no guest mode. You are responsible for keeping your device and Apple ID secure, since they control access to your account.
You may delete your account at any time inside the app from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate access to the service for use that violates these terms, is unlawful, or risks harm to Tabla Focus or other people. Where practical, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you first.
Website submissions
Public-facing website submissions must be accurate, respectful, and free of abusive or misleading content. We may remove submissions that violate these terms.
Roadmap suggestions are reviewed before publication. We may edit them for clarity, reject or remove them, or merge requests that describe the same or a substantially similar idea. Votes are advisory product signals only. A suggestion, vote, public status, or release estimate does not promise that we will build, release, or maintain a feature.
Do not submit confidential information in a roadmap request. Suggestions are treated as non-confidential, and you give Tabla Focus permission to use, adapt, combine, and publish them for product planning and improvement without compensation or attribution. You remain responsible for having the right to submit the material.
Directory submissions may describe other people and organisations. By submitting a teacher, school, or venue you warrant that the information is accurate and drawn from what that person or organisation publishes about themselves, and that you have the right to share any contact details you include. Contact details are never published; they are used only to verify and maintain the listing. Anyone listed can have their entry corrected or removed on request — see notice and takedown.
Intellectual property
App and website code, branding, and editorial content are protected. The app's bundled learning content, notation, artwork, and audio are original work, licensed material, or public-domain sources; attributions for licensed audio appear below and in the app. Your use of the service grants a personal, non-transferable licence to use that content for individual practice and study — not to copy, republish, extract, or redistribute it.
You keep responsibility for any content you create, enter, scan, or import into the app or website. If you believe material on the service infringes your rights, use notice and takedown and it will be reviewed promptly.
External links and third-party services
Some pages link to third-party sites and services. Tabla Focus is not responsible for external content, policies, or downtime.
Third-party audio attributions
Some playback voices use audio contributed by, or licensed from, others. The same attributions appear in the app under Settings → About → Credits.

No warranty and limitation of liability
Content is provided for practice, educational, and informational use. Tabla Focus does not replace a teacher, legal advice, or professional advice. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law: Tabla Focus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data stored in your own iCloud account, arising from your use of the service; and the total aggregate liability of Tabla Focus for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing removes mandatory consumer protections where you live.
Governing law
Tabla Focus is run from Portugal. These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If you use Tabla Focus as a consumer, nothing in these terms removes the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and that jurisdiction is non-exclusive for you: you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country where local law gives you that right, and we will bring any claim against you there.
Apple's terms
Tabla Focus is currently a pre-release product being prepared for distribution through TestFlight. Access to a beta build is also subject to Apple's TestFlight terms. If Tabla Focus later launches through the App Store, that download and use will also be subject to Apple's applicable store terms and licensed-application agreement.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Tabla Focus against claims by third parties arising from content you submit, scan, record, or import in breach of these terms, or from your unlawful use of the service.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; Tabla Focus may assign them as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service. These terms, together with the policies linked below, are the entire agreement between you and Tabla Focus about the service. On termination of your account, the sections that by their nature survive — including intellectual property, no warranty and limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply. Disputes are resolved on an individual basis to the extent permitted by the law of the country where you live.
