Switching methods never changes the composition. Both edit the same taal, cycles, pallas and rests, and the tool always opens in Matra Method.
Carnatic Method is Tabla Focus's visual interpretation of Pt. Suresh Talwalkar's structure-first teaching, which draws on his study of Carnatic laya theory: fix the span from the taal, name the structure, solve for the parts. It shows how the same composition is organised into pallas, tihais and rests. It does not compose bols or judge whether a composition is artistically correct.
