Play Na and Ge simultaneously: index fingertip to the dayan's kinar for the ringing edge tone, left hand sounding the open bayan underneath. The two attacks must land as one — a flammed Dha is the most audible beginner fault in theka.
Dha is the most frequent syllable in the repertoire: it opens Teentaal's theka, lands most sams, and its alternation with Ta (the same stroke minus the bayan) is how thekas paint the full and empty halves of the cycle. Weight can be shaded toward either hand; a soloist's Dha on sam is a statement, an accompanist's often a murmur.
